| February 13:
The wind was averaging 10-12 from the west. Gusts to 14 and lulls to 4 knots.
Some days you play the shifts, some days you play the pressure, but today is
was a day to play the current. Facing a strong ebb going upwind, the trick
was to stay out of the channel. Tim took two races to shake the rust off and
then ended with three wins mostly taking the northern route. Peter won the
first two. Gordon had as strong day finishing third. Bob and Neil got
caught on the wrong side of the line on the weekly downwind start and
struggled against the current to get to the right side again. It was another
good day for frostbiting. |
