March 7: The sun was shining, the temps were in the mid-50s and there was wind. What more could a frostbiter ask for? The wind was generally out of the west with occasional veers to the north and backs to the south, and puffs and lulls, but mostly in the 10-12 range. Nelson and Mark ran the races from the WYC dock because the stickers had not yet arrived for the Queen. Because of the wind direction, this worked fine with five WL races and an around-the-island. Ike swamped in the last WL out to the speed buoy at the harbor entrance. Peter won the tiebreaker from Morgan with Gary holding onto third for the day.
