> Process

Building a successful website requires a continuous interaction between the clients and the developers. This evolutionary approach presents clients with intermediate solutions as those solutions move towards client goals. At the outset, we jointly develop concepts targeted at meeting your unique objectives. With your input and participation, we then refine these ideas to create a website that is both visually and functionally compelling. Because of the ubiquitous characteristics of the web, you can observe our progress whenever you want, wherever you are. We continue this working relationship throughout the evolutionary process.

We identify six distinct stages in the process of working with you. These are not strictly sequential stages. Rather, they are evolutionary stages that are repeated roughly in this sequence.

The Six Steps

>Scoping

>Planning

>Design

>Implementation

>Review

>Sustainment

We first discuss the overall scope of your project in general terms. The basics include who the users are and how they will interact with the site. Will the site be a simple "brochure" or will it be backed by a database or will e-commerce be involved? What will be the measures of success? We will also discuss budget and schedule at this stage.

At the initial stages of any new or redesign project, research and information gathering is required. The client provides us with content, both textual and graphic, or we can assist in their development. These initial artifacts provide the necessary basis for the subsequent implementation and the process toward a solution. Your requirements and goals will be evaluated in the context of these work products so that a detailed understanding of your needs is obtained.

Layout and formatting of the information from the Planning stage will be provided in several variations. These variations will be conceptually tested and modified until a preliminary design is reached. The design will be specifically tailored to the client's requirements and concept, maximizing the site's usefulness to its users. At this stage, a prototype site may be developed to give the overall feeling for the navigation between the pages without implementing all the details of the content.

Moving from the abstract to the concrete, implementation is the process of developing a working website. Pages are defined, graphics refined and placed, and web-based applications are programmed to bring your site from a mere concept to an actuality. As described above, this stage can be incremental and iterative. If it is a large site, pieces can be implemented and reviewed before further implementation takes place.

In stages, you will check that the parts of the realized design are consistent and usable. Then, you will suggest further modifications to ensure that your clients can take full advantage of your new media production.

After the first release, we continue to monitor the current and anticipated needs of your web presence. Our after sales service includes web hosting, search engine promotion, banner ad development, etc.. Through maintenance contracts, we provide for your website long after it first starts to serve your clients.
